Scope and policy status
This draft describes data flows supported by the current Map Motion implementation. The operator must confirm the deployed services, legal basis where required, contact details and final retention practices before publishing a finalized policy.
Information used to provide the service
Depending on the features you use, the service processes prompts, selected locations, project settings, uploaded material and generated outputs. Account-enabled features may process profile information received from a sign-in provider, such as name, email address and profile image. Paid features may process order, subscription and transaction identifiers.
Local storage and cloud features
The editor uses browser storage, including IndexedDB and local storage, to retain projects, exports and preferences. Clearing browser data may remove local-only work. Cloud-enabled features send selected project data to the configured server or storage service. Cloud availability depends on the deployed configuration.
Service providers and network requests
AI features may send relevant prompts and context to the configured model provider. Place and route searches send relevant queries or coordinates to geographic providers. Loading map tiles, fonts or imagery can expose network information such as IP address and the requested map area to the provider. Sign-in, payment, hosting and storage providers process data needed for their respective services when enabled.
Purposes and security
Data is used to provide requested features, save and retrieve work, manage access and payments where enabled, and investigate errors or abuse. Appropriate safeguards should be maintained, but no transmission or storage system is completely secure. Avoid placing sensitive personal information into prompts or projects unless necessary and authorized.
Retention and requests
Local browser records remain until removed by the user, browser or application. Server-side retention depends on the data category, service purpose and applicable obligations; final periods and deletion procedures require operator confirmation. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal data. A verified contact channel will be listed in the finalized policy.
International processing and updates
Configured providers may process information in countries other than your own. Applicable safeguards and provider details must be reviewed for the production deployment. The finalized policy will identify the responsible operator and effective date.
